Clare provides advising and administrative support for four area studies centers in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, as well as being an integral part of the COGA team. She guides graduate students throughout their time at KU, including the admissions process, enrollment, petitions, comprehensive/final exams, and graduation. Clare also works with faculty, students, and staff to understand University policies and procedures, developing departmental relationships via written and online communications, as well as program planning. She is responsible for tracking and maintaining academic progress in her departments, and supports the unique needs of each program. The departments she serves are:

  • Communication Studies
  • Center for East Asian Studies
  • Center for Global & International Studies
  • Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies
  • Center for Russian, East European & Eurasian Studies
  • Religious Studies

Clare joined the COGA team in 2017. A Kansas native, she earned her Master’s in Counseling Psychology and undergraduate degree in Business at the University of Kansas. Her interests include higher education, career development, and strengths-based learning
