Graduate Scholarly Development Fund
The CLAS Graduate Scholarly Development Fund provides scholarships to support College graduate student scholarly development for the purposes of 1) presenting (in person or remote) their research or creative work at a meeting of a learned or professional society or travel to mount a juried, invited, or curated exhibition, 2) travel directly related to the student’s master’s or doctoral research or creative work, and 3) attendance (in person or remote) at a workshop or training for the purposes of professional development appropriate to the student’s chosen field.
This fund, supported by funding from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Office of Graduate Studies, provides scholarships of up to $500 per award. A graduate student is eligible to receive the scholarship up to 2 times during their graduate career. Please see the call for applications for more details.
Madison & Lila Self Graduate Fellows are eligible only for research travel.
Please note an application cycle portal covering scholarly development between February 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022 will open at noon on January 19, 2022 and will close on February 4, 2022, 11:59 PM in the online application portal in AcademicWorks.
