The College’s Graduate Student Advisory Board is a voluntary, appointed board of graduate students and graduate alumni who serve at the invitation of the Dean of the College. The Board meets once per semester. the Board's Charter can be accessed here.
The objectives of the Board are:
- To serve as a liaison for graduate students, providing the Dean and Dean’s office staff with perspectives on issues of pressing concern to master’s and doctoral students in the College.
- To provide feedback on College initiatives, policies, and procedures that affect and/or involve graduate students.
- To collaborate with the Dean and the College Office of Graduate Affairs on identifying areas of need amongst graduate students.
Nominations for the board are solicited on an annual basis in the early fall via an online nomination form. Nominations for membership will be accepted from faculty, staff, and students. Self-nominations are welcome. Students who have already served on the Advisory Board may be nominated again, but no student may serve on the board for more than two years.
