Summary

Lauren serves as the Graduate Academic Advisor for the graduate programs in the Departments of African & African American Studies, American Studies, History of Art, Indigenous Studies, Museum Studies.

Through her advising role, Lauren provides support to graduate students during their time at the University of Kansas, including the admissions process, regular enrollment, petitions, the comprehensive/final exam process, and graduation. Additionally, she works with graduate faculty and students to understand University policies and procedures, develops written and online communications, and maintains student records in her departments.

Lauren first joined the COGA team in Fall 2016, took a year-long break to relocate her family to South Carolina, and returned in Fall 2020. She earned her B.S. in Business Management and Leadership with a concentration in Human Resources from KU.
