Dr. Latta provides leadership to the College Office of Graduate Affairs, including award, student service, policy, curricular, and graduate student professional development functions. Serves as principal point of contact between the College and Graduate Studies. Works closely with the College’s Committee on Graduate Studies to provide oversight for all graduate curriculum and policy matters. Collaborates with departments and the Associate Dean for Academic Innovation and Student Success to develop new graduate programs. Provides leaderships on special initiatives to strengthen graduate education in the College.
Kristine joined KU in 2008 and has been with the College since 2012. She holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from Princeton University and a BA in Sociology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She conducted fieldwork on indigenous entrepreneurs in Otavalo, Ecuador. In addition to her academic training, she has taken coursework on management for the nonprofit sector (Indiana University-Purdue University) and has specialized training in fundraising (Association of Fundraising Professionals) and grant development (Grantsmanship Center).
