Graduate Scholarly Development Fund
The CLAS Graduate Scholarly Development Fund provides scholarships to support College graduate student scholarly development for the purposes of 1) presenting (in person or remote) their research or creative work at a meeting of a learned or professional society, 2) travel directly related to the student’s master’s or doctoral research or creative work, and 3) attendance (in person or remote) at a workshop or training for the purposes of professional development appropriate to the student’s chosen field.
This fund, supported by funding from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Office of Graduate Studies, provides scholarships of up to $500 per award. A graduate student is eligible to receive the scholarship up to 2 times during their graduate career. Please see the call for applications for more details.
Madison & Lila Self Graduate Fellows are eligible only for research travel.
Please note that the application cycle portal for Late Summer/ Fall travel covering scholarly development between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 will open on September 16, 2021 and will close on September 24, 2021, 11:59 PM in the online application portal in AcademicWorks.
